🚨‼️Manchester United transfer news LIVE deadline day updates and Marcel Sabitzer to Man United latest

Manchester United are confident of completing the loan signing of Marcel Sabitzer before this evening's 11pm deadline.

United were rocked by the news that Christian Eriksen faces several months out of action with an ankle injury earlier today and it is feared that he could be sidelined until early-May, which has promoted the club to assess their options.

United are light on options in midfield, especially with Donny van de Beek already out for the rest of the season, which has led to talks with Bayern Munich to sign midfielder Sabitzer, who has been identified as a short-term option, on loan

Meanwhile, striker Charlie McNeill has already left Old Trafford today and has joined League Two side Newport County on loan for the remainder of the season. Di'Shon Bernard has also joined Portsmouth on loan until the end of the season.

Elsewhere, United are continuing to step up their preparations ahead of tomorrow night's Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford. The Reds are 3-0 up following the first leg last Wednesday at the City Ground.
