Harry Maguire 'to consider' future as Jose Mourinho gives Victor Osimhen warning

Manchester United have reportedly knocked back an 'enquiry' from Inter Milan to sign captain Harry Maguire on loan before tomorrow night's 11pm transfer deadline.

Time is running out for clubs right across Europe to complete their January transfer business, meaning last-minute offers and bids are being put together. United are not expected to be overly active on deadline day, certainly not in terms of incomings, with the club already looking ahead to the summer.

The Reds are set to prioritise the addition of a new striker in the summer and have already picked out Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen of Napoli as players of interest. United are in desperate need of a new goal-getter and both of the aforementioned players would significantly upgrade their current pool of attacking options.

Meanwhile, United could allow a flurry of youngsters to leave the club ahead of the window closing. The likes of Zidane Iqbal and Charlie McNeill are among those who could depart on temporary deals before the close of play.

Elsewhere, the Reds are continuing to step up their preparations ahead of Wednesday night's Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag's side currently hold a 3-0 advantage following last week's first-leg at the City Ground.
